REMINDER: IHBC-supported APT 2013 conference – booking closes 8 Nov

The forthcoming National Conference of the UK Association of Building Preservation Trusts (APT), which will take place in Leeds on 15 & 16 November 2013 and has the IHBC among its supporters, will close booking on 8 November.

James Moir, UK APT director, said: ‘This Conference, working to the title of ‘Partners in risk’, will equip delegates with inspirational ideas and resources to develop new partnerships in tackling Heritage at Risk. The Friday, at St George’s Centre, provides a broadbrush overview of how the public sector across the UK is re-organising itself to work with communities, homing in on partnership opportunities using ‘live’ projects, including what private developers can bring to the table, and close with a ‘coalface’ opportunity to work through some local examples in the company of specialist advisers.’

‘The second day at The Civic Hall focuses on the opportunities in the City for addressing Heritage at Risk’.

IHBC director Sean O’Reilly said: ‘Clearly it’s going to be a busy programme for delegates, indeed an invaluable one. And for these two days we’re delighted to be able to offer a little support towards the great causes that building preservation trusts across the UK represent, both individually and, more especially, in partnership!’
